Doors to this year's VideoForum open this Tuesday at 9am. Even if you
haven't registered to visit, you'll have free entrance to every day of the
show and free entry to Sounds Expo which takes place alongside VideoForum.

did loadsa networkin with peeps (mostly at the bar) and had a scan at all the technologies i know nuffink about.
If any1 saw me... i was with a well fit chick from the guild of camera technicians.

Went yesterday,

Was very good, highly recommended. Was on the Computer Video Stand for about 2 hours dishing out advice and what not.

Some of the stands were impressive, with me being very impressed with the optex stand and Avid, Media 100.

It is hardly a low budget expo though, as the amount of money in the place was definately geared towards large production crews with money to spend. There were some great items though on good discounts.

In particular I was looking out for a Camera stabalizer for an XM1/Super 8 film camera. Hague and Optex did good ones at reaasonable prices. Also am picking up a good deal on a Sennheiser K6/ME66/ME64 and Rycote Softie combination and a beachtek unit. I'm also tempted to go for a Matte box filter system, but that maybe stretching the buget too much. Once that's all done, it's production time.

Go check it out, it's well worth it, but today is your last day.

hey- wots this I feel so left out. thought i live nearby. oh well- been pretty busy anyhoo. I got to play on a proper 35 film camera the other day- and i can now load film into the mag- which shall give me hours of fun- i'm sure. hope you all is having as much fun as me. i have been a wpc and a protestestor these last few days in a feature film- as well as the glammer of having to watch equipment in a muddy field!
